Energy Ministry Fixing Substation Fault in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A technical fault at a 110 kV substation in Tashkent has caused temporary disruptions in electricity supply in parts of the Shaykhantahur and Almazar districts, the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan said.

According to the ministry, the incident occurred at 18:58 today and was linked to equipment supplying 6 kV power lines. As a result, some consumers in the affected areas experienced temporary instability in electricity supply.

The Ministry of Energy said special emergency teams are currently working at the site to eliminate the fault. Responsible officials and specialists from relevant enterprises have arrived at the facility and taken the situation under control.

The ministry also said all necessary measures are being taken to restore electricity supply as quickly as possible. Consumers were apologized to for the temporary inconvenience caused by the disruption.
