Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In January–March 2026, Uzbekistan registered 191,086 live births, according to the National Statistics Committee. The data reflects stable demographic trends at the beginning of the year.

Official statistics show that among newborns, boys accounted for 98,500, or 51.5% of the total number of births, while girls totaled 92,600, or 48.5%.

The highest number of births was recorded in the Samarkand region, with 23,120 children. It was followed by the Fergana region with 21,563 newborns and the Kashkadarya region, where 21,292 births were registered.

In Surkhandarya, the number of births amounted to 18,468, in Andijan — 16,849, and in Namangan — 16,157. In the Tashkent region, 14,923 newborns were registered, while in the city of Tashkent the figure stood at 14,040.

In other regions, the distribution was as follows: Khorezm region recorded 9,183 births, Bukhara — 8,741, Jizzakh — 8,616, the Republic of Karakalpakstan — 8,080, Navoi region — 5,241, and Syrdarya region — 4,813.

The data provides insight into regional differences in birth rates and the overall demographic structure of the country in early 2026.
