China’s YRPG May Expand Pharmaceutical Presence in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chinese pharmaceutical company YRPG may expand its presence in Uzbekistan, following discussions held with the country’s pharmaceutical development authorities on 19 May 2026.

Director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry of Uzbekistan, Abdullah Azizov, met with representatives of YRPG to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector.

The talks focused on the possible localization of pharmaceutical production, technology transfer, and improving the qualifications of industry specialists. Particular attention was given to the development of educational programs and workforce training for Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector.

The sides also considered the potential expansion of YRPG’s presence in the country, including the development of partnerships with local manufacturers and the use of available investment opportunities in the sector.

Additional discussions covered scientific research cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the pharmaceutical field aimed at developing innovative solutions and strengthening production capacity.

Following the meeting, participants expressed mutual interest in continuing dialogue and further elaborating practical areas of cooperation between the Chinese company and Uzbekistan’s pharmaceutical sector institutions.
