Uzbekneftegaz Discusses Sukuk Issuance With Fitch Ratings

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz JSC held talks with representatives of Fitch Ratings during the international Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU 2026 conference.

The main focus of the meeting was on strengthening cooperation, improving the company’s credit rating, and expanding opportunities to attract financing using a range of financial instruments.

The sides discussed prospects for issuing Islamic securities (sukuk), as well as the application of other Islamic finance mechanisms.

In addition, the discussions covered options for arranging syndicated loans, issuing additional eurobonds, and using hedging strategies.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation and continuing dialogue on financial projects.
