Bus and Tracker crash reported in Tashkent district
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A traffic accident involving a Yutong bus and a Tracker vehicle occurred in the Yakkasaray district of Tashkent on 14 May 2026, at around 08:20, according to the press service of Toshshahartransxizmat JSC.
The Yutong bus, operating on gas fuel and assigned to the “7th Bus Depot” branch, was traveling on route No. 69 in the dedicated BRT lane along Shota Rustaveli Street. The driver, born in 1983, had 20 years of driving experience.
The incident took place at the intersection of Shota Rustaveli and Yakkasaray streets, when the Tracker driver suddenly changed direction and moved into the left lane, resulting in a collision with the bus.
As a result of the crash, a passenger on the bus, as well as the driver and a passenger of the car, sustained injuries and sought medical assistance at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Emergency Care.
According to preliminary findings, the driver of the Tracker was found responsible for the accident. The collision was documented by the Road Safety Department of the Tashkent City Internal Affairs Directorate in accordance with established procedures.
Toshshahartransxizmat urged drivers to strictly follow traffic rules and remain attentive on the roads.
