Uzbekistan Football Team Adds Italian Physiotherapist

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Italian physiotherapy and rehabilitation specialist Aldo Esposito has joined the coaching staff of Uzbekistan’s national football team, the Uzbekistan Football Association said.

Esposito will oversee player recovery, injury prevention and rehabilitation processes within the national team setup.

The Italian specialist has many years of experience in professional football. Over the course of his career, he worked with the medical staffs of Italian clubs Cagliari Calcio and Juventus FC, as well as the Italy national football team.

Esposito has participated in five FIFA World Cups and five UEFA European Championships. As part of Italy’s national team staff, he won the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

He also worked with teams that won the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Champions League.

The appointment is part of efforts to strengthen the medical and recovery department within Uzbekistan’s national football team structure.
