Uzbekistan Discusses Medical Tourism Development at Pharma Eurasia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting between representatives of Uzbekistan and a delegation of the International Chamber of Healthcare and Medical Tourism was held on the sidelines of the international exhibition Pharma Eurasia & Med Tech 2026, focusing on cooperation in the healthcare sector.
During the talks, special attention was given to attracting international experts to Uzbekistan, reviewing the state of the country’s medical infrastructure, and conducting expert assessments of clinics and healthcare institutions.
The Uzbek side presented information on ongoing healthcare reforms, modernization of medical infrastructure, introduction of modern technologies, and measures to improve the quality of medical services.
The parties discussed prospects for the development of medical tourism in Uzbekistan, including the country’s potential as a regional hub for medical services, opportunities to attract foreign patients, and promotion of the national healthcare system at the international level.
Issues of experience exchange, implementation of international standards, and long-term expert cooperation in the healthcare sector were also considered.
Following the meeting, participants expressed interest in continuing dialogue and further developing mutually beneficial partnerships in the field of medicine and medical tourism.
