Uzbekistan and MegaSec Discuss Cybersecurity and AI Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with a delegation led by MegaSec Director Gabil Gasymov, during which the sides discussed cooperation in cybersecurity and digital technologies.

The talks focused on the development of cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and the protection of information infrastructure. The parties emphasized the importance of ensuring information security in the context of accelerating digital transformation.

Special attention was given to strengthening the capacity of local specialists, as well as developing systems for training, retraining and professional development in the field of cybersecurity in Uzbekistan.

The sides also exchanged views on initiatives to create AI cloud infrastructure and the possible establishment of a cybersecurity center.

The meeting also addressed issues related to the protection of personal data, safeguarding critical information infrastructure and other relevant areas of digital security.

It was noted that in the context of rapid deployment of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, the parallel development of cybersecurity systems is of growing importance.
