Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 24 March, an online meeting was held between the Acting President and CEO of one of Malaysia’s leading technological research institutes, MIMOS Berhad, Dr. Saatom Shukri Embong, and the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Kuchkarov.

During the discussions, the prospects for bilateral cooperation and the implementation of joint projects in the fields of information technology, innovative solutions, and digital development were addressed. Representatives of MIMOS Berhad highly appreciated Uzbekistan’s efforts towards digitalization and expressed their willingness to share their experience in deploying advanced technologies.

The parties also exchanged views on key aspects of developing Uzbekistan’s digital economy, supporting research activities, enhancing the IT ecosystem, and advancing data processing technologies.

The negotiations concluded with an agreement to further strengthen and expand bilateral engagement.

MIMOS Berhad is Malaysia’s national center for applied research and development, operating under the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI).
