The construction materials industry in Uzbekistan is set to develop further through cooperation with Türkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye continues to strengthen, with ties in the construction materials sector reaching a new level. The shared national values and traditions of both countries, along with Türkiye’s advanced expertise in the construction industry, serve as key factors in expanding this partnership.

On March 20, 2025, a meeting was held between IMSAD, the Turkish Association of Construction Materials Manufacturers, Uzpromstroybank, and the leadership of Uzpromstroymaterialy to further develop bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, a joint action plan was approved for nine strategic areas of collaboration between IMSAD and Uzpromstroybank. These include:

Commercializing scientific research and strengthening collaboration between research institutions in the industry;

Improving raw material quality and upgrading construction material standards, modernizing national regulations based on Turkish expertise;

Utilizing industrial waste and developing mechanisms for its reuse;

Implementing new investment projects and attracting international brands.

It was also noted that in 2024, trade turnover in the construction materials sector between Uzbekistan and Türkiye amounted to $64.5 million. The parties further agreed to hold business forums between manufacturers from both countries to address unmet demand for construction materials.

For reference, the Turkish Association of Construction Materials Manufacturers (IMSAD) was founded in 1984 and brings together 85 major companies, 60 associations, 1 trade union, and 5 universities. Their total production output amounts to $120 billion.
