Tashkent’s Sergeli Car Market Introduces Digital Monitoring System
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A comprehensive modernization program is being implemented at the Sergeli car market in Tashkent aimed at digitizing trading processes, improving safety levels, and optimizing infrastructure management.
According to reports on ongoing development efforts, a key element of the transformation is the creation of a modern situation center that provides 24/7 online monitoring of vehicle movement at entry and exit points, parking occupancy, trading activity, and overall security conditions. Monitoring is carried out using video surveillance systems and digital tools for tracking business activity.
As part of the digital infrastructure upgrade, smart cameras are being gradually deployed and cable networks are being installed. The new system will enable the recording of incoming and outgoing vehicles, recognition of license plates, and control over vehicle placement within the trading area.
The market territory has been structured into nine functional zones, including areas for car sales, temporary and permanent parking zones, as well as separate sections for administrative buildings and auto parts trade. This approach is aimed at organizing visitor flows and improving the efficiency of space usage.
At the same time, measures are being implemented to reconstruct storage facilities and auto service workshops, and an inventory of more than one hundred containers located on the market territory is being conducted. A standard container design has been developed to unify appearance and improve conditions for entrepreneurs.
Infrastructure improvements include the construction of an additional access road, asphalt paving of the territory, and the creation of new parking spaces. Tax and cadastral specialists have been involved in the inventory process of commercial and service facilities.
For visitors, the Click Avto mobile application is being introduced, allowing users to pre-book parking spaces.
The system is currently being populated with necessary data to ensure full operational launch of the service.
