President Reviews Operations at Quva Agrostar Agro-Industrial Complex
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During his visit to the Fergana region, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev familiarized himself with the activities of the agro-industrial complex Quva Agrostar.
The country is placing strong emphasis on developing agriculture with a focus on high value-added production, expanded processing, and increased export potential. For this purpose, specialized agricultural complexes have been established in 21 districts as part of the Uzagrostar holding system.
Previously, one of the main challenges in the sector was the fragmentation of the production chain, where farmers focused mainly on cultivation but faced difficulties with storage, sorting, packaging, and access to foreign markets.
The creation of agro-complexes has helped integrate these processes into a unified system.
Quva Agrostar, located in Kuva district of Fergana region, provides a full production cycle—from cultivation to processing, packaging, and export of 12 types of products with a total annual volume of up to 5,000 tons.
The enterprise uses modern technologies from Italy, Spain, Germany, and China. Its products meet international quality standards confirmed by certifications such as Global GAP, ISO 22000, Halal, and HACCP.
In 2025, the company made its first air cargo exports to Japan and South Korea. In 2026, it plans to increase export volumes to US$25 million.
The complex cooperates with 3,000 households across 33 mahallas and 1,000 farmers, training them to efficiently use household plots with potential income of up to 250 million soums from 10 sotix of land.
During the visit, a training system was presented to teach practical agricultural skills, including seed selection, agronomy, product preparation, and export packaging.
The President emphasized the importance of efficient land use, deep processing, and export-oriented production to increase household incomes.
It was also announced that an experimental modern agriculture system will be introduced across 50,000 hectares in Fergana region.
