Amusement Ride Collapse Reported in Andijan Region Park

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 April, a ride at the “Bogishamol” amusement park in the Andijan region collapsed while carrying passengers.

According to eyewitness accounts, at least seven people may have been affected, and social media users have urged caution regarding the safety and technical condition of amusement rides in the country.

The Andijan Regional Department of Emergency Situations confirmed the incident, reporting that a metal structure of one of the park’s attractions failed during operation.

Official data indicates that two citizens sustained minor injuries and received medical assistance. The causes of the accident have not yet been specified.

It is also noted that earlier in the Navoi region, the operation of two cable cars was temporarily suspended due to non-compliance with technical safety requirements, and they may resume service only after necessary issues are resolved.

An investigation into the Andijan incident is expected to clarify the technical condition of the equipment and compliance with safety regulations.
