Uzbekneftegaz: Projects implemented jointly with US and French companies discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- When developing the development strategy of Uzbekneftegaz for the near and long term, the implementation of promising projects combining advanced licensed technologies in the oil and gas industry is relevant. In this regard, Uzbekneftegaz is negotiating cooperation with companies with world experience.

At the talks held with the American company Honeywell UOP, the Turkish Tekfen Engineering and the French Axens Solutions, issues of joint implementation of new highly efficient projects were discussed.

In particular, the specialists of Honeywell UOP and Tekfen Engineering reviewed the technical indicators of the project "Reconstruction and modernization of the Bukhara oil refinery" and the measures necessary for its further implementation. With the development of industries and economy in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the need for fuel products is increasing, this project is of great importance in meeting domestic needs.

At the meeting, Honeywell UOP expressed interest in implementing a project for the production of linear alkylbenzene (LAB) gas chemical products based on Uzbekistan GTL intermediate products. This proposed project also has high efficiency, which will fully meet the demand for linear alkylbenzene (LAB) products in the Central Asian region.

Ahens solutions provided state-of-the-art technology solutions for Claus sulfur production and a decarbonization line to clean SO2, H2S and RSH gases from plastic waste refineries and minimize emissions to the atmosphere.

The company has developed block technological modules for gas cleaning, which allows minimizing the start-up time of the units. It was recognized that this has a positive effect on reducing capital costs for construction and increasing efficiency.

The projects reviewed with the companies stressed that the quality of products and technologies must be consistent with current environmental requirements, and the choice of project technology is dominated by proposals with high efficiency.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the provision by the companies of technical proposals, relevant questionnaires and presentations for the implementation of the next stages of the projects. As a result of the implementation of promising oil and gas projects, it will be possible to reduce the volume of products imported to Uzbekistan and expand the range of products with high added value.
