Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to increase the volume and develop the production of new types of petrochemical products, as well as increase the export potential of the republic, a number of investment projects are being implemented at an accelerated pace within the framework of the "Program to increase hydrocarbon production for 2017-2021".

This Program is aimed at maintaining and further increasing the production of natural gas and hydrocarbons through the construction of wells and technological facilities at developed fields and promising sites.

In order to maximize the development of residual natural gas reserves at the Dengizkul field, the construction of the 2nd stage of the booster compressor station is being completed.

The project will make it possible to maintain gas production at the field in the conditions of depletion of reservoir energy of gas pressure before supplying it to the Mubarek gas processing plant.

The cost of the compressor station is US$87.8 million. The maximum production capacity is 2.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year and consists of two gas pumping units of 16 MW each.

The main equipment is supplied by Borisoglebskoye Mashinostroenie LLC (Russia), INGK LLC (Russia), Akcelik Boru San (Turkey), Shandong Wintech Technology Co., Ltd. (China), Baker Hughes (Italy), Nuovo Pignone International S.R.L. (Italy) and Denair Energy Saving Technology (Shanghai) PLC (China).

The construction is carried out by the general contractor, Enter Engineering PTE. LTD (Singapore) with the participation of qualified specialists.

To date, construction and installation work at the facilities has been completed, the final stage of commissioning is underway.

The commissioning of this facility will ensure full and stable production at the Dengizkul field, as well as increase the daily production of natural gas by 800,000 cubic meters.
