Uzbekkomir mines 3.853m tonnes of coal in 2012
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekkomir (Uzbek Coal) open joint stock company produced goods for 147.73 billion soums in current prices in 2012, which rose by 33.5% compared to 2012, the press service of the company said.

According to the company, coal mining grew by 0.2% year-on-year in 2012 and reached 3.853 million tonnes. The company fulfilled its forecast on coal mining (4.285 million tonnes) at the level of 89.9%.

Production of coal at Sharinkumir made up 70,000 tonnes (+4.4%) and Apartak – 295,000 tonnes (+0.3%).

Last year, the company realized coals for 46.1 billion soums to population of Uzbekistan. The company added that it did not receive 12.3 billion soums from sales of coal.

According to Uzbekkomir press services, consumers received 3.635 million tonnes of coal in 2012, which grew by 29.8% year-on-year.

In the reporting period, the volume of overburden operations made up 14.2 million cubic meters with the growth rate of 80.3%.

The export forecasts were fulfilled with 14.3% surplus. The services rendered to population were fulfilled with 38.6% surplus and at the growth rate of 40.6% in 2012. Production of localization goods grew by 28.3% to 3.2 billion soums in 2012.

Uzbekkomir utilized capital investments for over 299.92 billion soums in 2012 at the forecast volume of 280.8 billion soums.
