Uzbekistan–Türkiye Trade Reaches US$653.4 Million in Q1 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Türkiye totaled US$653.4 million in January–March 2026, according to the National Committee on Statistics.

The figure increased by US$42.7 million, or 7%, compared with the same period last year, reflecting continued expansion in bilateral economic ties.

Uzbek exports to Türkiye amounted to US$231.6 million during the reporting period, while imports of Turkish goods reached $421.8 million, indicating a persistent trade imbalance between the two countries.

Cooperation has also expanded in the investment sphere. As of 1 April 2026, there are 2,186 enterprises operating in Uzbekistan with Turkish capital involvement. The volume of accumulated direct foreign investment and loans from Türkiye totaled US$655.2 million.

Tourism exchange between the two countries has also shown steady growth. In the first three months of the year, Uzbekistan was visited by 39,445 Turkish citizens, while 52,199 Uzbek citizens traveled to Türkiye.

Educational cooperation continues to develop as well, with 423 Turkish students studying in Uzbekistan and 527 Uzbek students pursuing education in Türkiye.

Overall, the data reflects the steady expansion of economic, investment, tourism, and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
