Akbar Muhiddinov noted that the capacities of these plants make up 9.8 million square meters of ceramic tiles a year. In the result, total capacities of Uzbekistan on production of ceramic tiles will grew 2.8 times to 15.2 million square meters a year.
Russia’s Invest Rielti will complete construction of plan on production of ceramic tiles in Samarkand region by the end of 2013. The enterprise will produce 2.7 million square meters of ceramic tiles a year.
The project cost is US$28 million. It is financed due to loan of Germany’s Berliner Bank and direct investments of the Russian company.
Iran’s EMG will complete construction of plant on production of ceramic tiles in Tashkent region. The project cost is about US$12 million. The plant’s capacity is 2.1 million square meters a year.
Moderna Ceramic Industries will also launch production of ceramic tiles in Ferghana city. The plant’s capacity is 3.5 million square meters a year. The project is implemented in cooperation with China’s Shenzhen Construction Equipment & Engineering Co. Ltd.
