Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution "On measures on attracting to Uzbekistan of no-string technical assistance (grants) of donor countries, international and foreign governmental and non-governmental organizations for 2013-2015" on 29 March 2013.
According to the resolution, the Government of the United States is planning to allocate US$16.204 million to implementation of two projects – Fighting against illegal turnover of Afghan opiates through northern route through strengthening corresponding bodies and border points (US$10.203 million) and Construction of border complex “Lyabob” (US$6 million).
The Government of China is planning to allocate US$4.4 million to implementation of project on speeding up customs examination of vehicles and improving security of cargo transportation at customs posts through introduction of large-scale scanning equipment.
Japan intends to issue US$2.57 million to implementation of border customs posts with X-ray examination equipment.
South Korea is planning to issue US$1.23 million to development of information-communication infrastructure of the State Customs Committee to introduce simplified system on foreign trade operations on one-stop-shop principle.
