Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will abolish criminal liability for violation of trade rules. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a dialogue with entrepreneurs.
“In general, the problem that has been worrying entrepreneurs operating in the field of trade for 30 years will also be eliminated, that is, criminal liability for violation of trade rules (Article 189 of the Criminal Code) will be completely abolished,” the head of state noted.
Small businesses that make a mistake for the first time will not be penalized. Instead, a system will be introduced in which the tax authorities will help to eliminate shortcomings.
The amount of fines should also not exceed the amount of taxes paid by entrepreneurs.
