Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting with an official delegation headed by Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency Keiichiro Nakazawa. It was attended by Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture Alisher Shukurov and industry workers.

During the meeting, the reforms carried out in the field of agriculture and food in Uzbekistan, the possibility of introducing modern market mechanisms and projects implemented by the Japan Agency were noted. The current plans of Uzbekistan in the field of agriculture and food and relations with partner countries, international organizations, as well as statistics related to the industry were also discussed.

At the event, Mr. Keiichiro Nakazawa acknowledged that the reforms carried out by the leadership of our country lay the foundation for expanding the scale of cooperation between the two countries.

Information was also provided on the activities of the AKIS and ISCAD centers in our country and the Agricultural Development Strategy for 2020-2030.

At the end of the event, it was noted that cooperation in the field of digitalization of agriculture, food security, veterinary medicine and animal husbandry, land reform would be beneficial for both parties, and a mutual agreement was reached in these areas.
