Some 253.8 billion soums of them were directed to current repair and maintenance of automobile roads of general use.

In line with the resolution of the President of Uzbekistan “On investment programme of Uzbekistan for 2012” from 27 December 2011 and resolution No. 1446 from 21 December 2010, Uzavtoyol spent 273.7 billion soums to construction and reconstruction of Uzbek national highway in 2012. The growth rate made up 17.1% year-on-year.

Within the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On programme of repairing automobile roads of general use for 2012, the company directed 71.5 billion soums in 2012 to repair international, state and local roads.

The company said that some 234.7 km of roads were reconstructed in Uzbekistan in 2012.

Uzavtoyol said that the company carried out maintenance work at 42,654 km of roads in 2012 to ensure their security.

According to the law of Uzbekistan “On automobile roads”, main activities of Uzavtoyol are development and implementation of state programmes on road development, improvement of roads, etc.
