The session summed up results of social-economic development of Uzbekistan for 2012 and approved main perspectives of economic programme for 2013.
Uzbek leader said that Uzbekistan collected 3.46 million tonnes of raw cotton, 7.5 million tonnes of wheat, 2 million tonnes of potatoes, 9 million tonnes of vegetables, melons and gourds.
He said that these all were achieved due to hard work and experience of farmers and agriculture specialists. He also said that use of foreign experience also helped to achieve high results.
Uzbek President stated that farmers became important part in agriculture sector. Currently, there are 66,000 farms, which own 85% of all arable lands. These lands are used to produce major part of agriculture crops.
