Uzbekistan modernizes gas supply system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to improve the efficiency of the system for providing consumers of the republic with natural and liquefied gas" was adopted on 5 August.

In order to modernize and develop the gas supply system and effectively use the existing capacities of Khududgaztaminot, by October 2022, it is planned to fully implement the project "Implementation of an automated natural gas metering system" and launch a full-fledged billing system in multi-storey buildings located on land plots in the regions and not connected to central heating.

Electronic gas meters will be installed in common gas pipelines at the entrance of 11,500 multi-storey buildings in Navoi and Bukhara regions, Tashkent, which are connected to centralized heat supply and do not have a large consumption of natural gas.

In addition, an automated system for monitoring 1,800 electronic meters of natural gas supply to consumers along the technological chain "gas distribution station - entrance to large areas (region or city border) - consumer" is being launched.

The document approved:

target indicators for the transfer of the gas supply system to a two-stage system of households located on land plots in the regions of the republic in 2022-2024;

target indicators for the formation of an electronic topographic map and attribute data of objects during the implementation of a geographic information system for gas networks in the system of Khududgazminot JSC in 2022;

target indicators for measures to modernize and reconstruct the gas supply system of Khududgaztaminot JSC for 2022-2024;

"road map" for advanced training of employees of the gas supply system in specialized companies of foreign countries, the formation of corporate management skills.
