Uzbekistan, Japan boost digital education cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have discussed expanding bilateral cooperation in digital education and inclusion, agreeing to elevate their partnership to a new level.
During the talks, the sides identified key priorities including the development of digital education, the establishment of IT education centers in remote regions, and the provision of modern information and communication equipment to talented youth.
The parties agreed to develop a concept for joint projects aimed at advancing digital inclusion and sustainable growth in Uzbekistan. Funding for the initiatives is expected to be partially provided through grants under the Japanese government’s Official Development Assistance (ODA) program.
The cooperation framework also предусматривает the creation of a Japanese Digital Center in Uzbekistan, expanded access for young people to digital skills and technologies, and the implementation of joint initiatives in digital transformation and sustainable development.
The projects are expected to help reduce the digital divide between regions, ensure equal opportunities, and support the development of human capital in Uzbekistan.
