Uzbekistan introduces ban for transit of liquefied gas with vehicles
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan introduced a ban for transit of liquefied gas through its territory with use of vehicles from 1 January 2013.

The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On introduction of ban for transit of liquefied gas through territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan with automobile transport” on 26 December 2012.

The document was adopted to ensure state security, protection of public order, lives and health of population, as well as environment.

The Government entrusted Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport to inform transporters on introduction of transit ban for liquefied gas with use of vehicles.

In case of illegal movement of liquefied gas through customs territory of Uzbekistan, State Tax Committee and Ministry of Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan were entrusted to seize liquefied gas in line with the legislation and transfer it to the income of the Government.
