Uzbekistan, Gotion Accelerate Energy Storage Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Negotiations were held during the Uzbekistan–Hong Kong Economic Forum between Mirziyod Yunusov, Chairman of the “Uzeltekhsanoat” Association, and Ray Chen, Vice President of the Chinese company Gotion, focusing on the development of cooperation in green energy and energy storage technologies.
The parties noted that, amid rapid global growth in demand for renewable energy solutions and energy storage systems, China maintains a leading position in the sector, while Gotion is among the major innovative manufacturers of batteries and energy storage systems.
The talks centered on translating previously initiated joint initiatives into a practical implementation phase. Particular attention was given to accelerating the rollout of energy storage production and deployment projects in Uzbekistan.
The discussion also covered expanding technological partnership and deepening industrial cooperation. According to the parties, the main goal of the collaboration is to introduce advanced technologies, develop a localized industrial base, and create new jobs in the country.
Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their interest in further advancing joint projects and accelerating their practical implementation in Uzbekistan’s energy sector.
