Uzbekistan Donates Agricultural Seeds to Afghanistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with the Seed Development Center, has provided free humanitarian assistance to Afghan farmers and agricultural organizations in the form of agricultural seeds.
The shipment included 20 tons of certified cotton seeds adapted to local climatic conditions, 20 tons of rice, and 500 kilograms of high-quality vegetable and melon crop seeds.
According to officials, the assistance is aimed at supporting food security in Afghanistan, improving employment in rural areas, and promoting the introduction of modern agricultural technologies in the sector.
Agricultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan is viewed as a factor contributing to regional stability and economic development, based on principles of good neighborliness and mutual support.
