Uzbekistan discusses subsoil use with MOL Group

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held on 13 May in Uzbekistan between First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology Feruza Khamidova and representatives of the ministry with a delegation from international energy company MOL Group, led by Executive Vice President Adam Marton.

During the talks, the Uzbek side presented information on ongoing reforms in the country’s mining and geological sectors. Particular attention was paid to the updated version of the Subsoil Law and mechanisms for attracting investors based on transparent procedures.

Participants were also presented with prospective subsoil areas open for potential business participation and investment.

Following the discussions, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation, continue exploring possible joint projects, and maintain further dialogue on areas of sectoral collaboration.
