Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held talks with a delegation from Zuercher Kantonalbank in Samarkand during the 59th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank, focusing on international reserve management and operations in key financial markets.

The sides discussed cooperation in money and foreign exchange markets, gold trading, and professional training programs. The dialogue also covered trends in reserve management, including cash flow management, investment in new financial instruments, and the growing role of fixed-income assets.

The current state of cooperation, which has been developing since June 2019, was also reviewed. The partnership between the two sides is of a regular institutional nature and covers operations in money markets, precious metals markets, and foreign exchange transactions.

Representatives of Zuercher Kantonalbank emphasized the sustained importance of the money market as a key area of cooperation. The parties also discussed prospects for expanding collaboration in gold trading, currency operations, and participation of Central Bank of Uzbekistan specialists in training programs offered by the bank.

At the end of the meeting, the sides confirmed their readiness to continue professional dialogue and develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest in financial markets and reserve management.
