Uzbekistan and Yokogawa Electric Discuss Industrial Digitalization
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Representatives of Uzbekneftegaz and Japan’s Yokogawa Electric Corporation held talks on the sidelines of the international conference “Oil and Gas of Uzbekistan – OGU 2026,” focusing on prospects for technological cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
The discussions centered on the introduction of modern industrial automation systems and digital control of production processes. The parties considered the application of distributed control systems (DCS), supervisory control and data acquisition systems (SCADA), and programmable logic controllers (PLC).
The use of industrial sensors, measuring instruments, and gas and liquid analyzers designed to improve the accuracy of process control was also discussed separately.
The parties also exchanged views on the implementation of integrated technological solutions for enterprises in the energy, chemical, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical sectors. Key topics included improving production efficiency, digitalizing management systems, and strengthening industrial safety.
Following the meeting, participants confirmed their interest in further developing cooperation and implementing advanced technological solutions in Uzbekistan’s industrial sector.
