Uzbekistan and China Expand Green Energy Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A memorandum of cooperation in the field of science and innovative technologies for green energy development was signed in Xi’an, China, during the 3rd China-Uzbekistan Interregional Cooperation Forum held on 21–22 May.

The document was signed between the National Research Institute of Renewable Energy Sources under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy, China’s Inner Mongolia Technology University, and China Datang Corporation.

The memorandum is aimed at developing scientific and technical cooperation in renewable energy, introducing innovative technologies, and expanding joint scientific research.

During the forum, representatives of the parties discussed the efficient use of renewable energy sources, strengthening scientific capacity, expanding investment cooperation, and exchanging international experience.

The agreements reached are viewed as an important step toward strengthening long-term cooperation between Uzbekistan and China in the energy sector, as well as promoting the principles of the green economy and the implementation of sustainable development goals.
