Uzbekistan and Berko İlaç Discuss Pharmaceutical Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A meeting was held in Uzbekistan with representatives of the Turkish pharmaceutical company Berko İlaç, during which prospects for cooperation in medicine and the pharmaceutical sector were discussed.
During the talks, the Uzbek side presented information on ongoing reforms in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, including the formation of a biopharmaceutical ecosystem Bio Pharma City, the development of clinical research infrastructure, localization of production processes, and efforts to attract international investment.
Representatives of Berko İlaç noted the promising potential of the Uzbek market and expressed interest in cooperation in areas such as local production, technology transfer, clinical research, improvement of GMP systems, and implementation of healthcare investment projects.
The meeting also addressed cooperation with Turkey’s private healthcare sector, medical tourism, digital healthcare solutions, and the activities of private clinics.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to further expand cooperation in medicine and pharmaceuticals, implement joint localization and technology transfer projects, and continue technical dialogue.
