Uzbekistan Airways Unveils Football-Themed Dreamliner in Support of National Team

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 23 May, Uzbekistan Airways unveiled a specially designed Boeing 787 Dreamliner created in support of the Uzbekistan national football team, which will participate in the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the country’s history.

The presentation of the aircraft took place at the Uzbekistan Airways Technics facility, with participation from media representatives, bloggers, airline partners, and football industry specialists.

According to the airline, the project is part of a broader campaign supporting the national team and was launched in connection with Uzbekistan’s historic qualification for the global tournament.

A special service product concept was also developed under the slogan “GO UZBEKISTAN!”, which serves as the central element of the visual campaign.

As part of the initiative, branded headrest covers will be installed across all aircraft in the fleet. In addition, special travel kits have been prepared for business and economy class passengers on flights to New York, along with themed pins for cabin crew members.

The main visual symbol of the new aircraft design is the White Wolf, representing strength, unity, and support for the national team.

The company emphasized that the aircraft branding was carried out in full compliance with international aviation requirements and technical standards.

It was noted that applying special liveries to aircraft requires mandatory approval procedures and technical certification, as any external modification must meet safety, operational, and manufacturer standards.

Experts say such initiatives play an important role in building a national brand and promoting the country internationally through sports, aviation, and cultural symbolism.

Uzbekistan Airways also expressed support for the national team and wished it success at the upcoming World Cup.
