The Week of innovations in the mining and metallurgical sector starts its work

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22-26 August, the week "Innovations in the mining and metallurgical sector" is being held at the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

JSC Navoi Mining and Metallurgical Plant, JSC Navoi Machine-Building Plant, JSC Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant, JSC Uzmetkombinat, industry research institutes of the system of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education, scientists from scientific - research institutes of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan are taking the event with their innovative ideas and developments, innovative products.

At the opening of the week, Deputy Minister of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh. Turdikulova noted that the geological, mining and metallurgical industries currently account for 10% of the country’s gross domestic product. For the further development of these industries, it is necessary to introduce new, modern, innovative and efficient technologies into the technological processes of exploration, production, processing of minerals and bring them to the level of finished products.

Within the framework of the exhibition, agreements will be concluded between scientists and industry specialists, contractual documents with research institutes, issues of the production of innovative technologies, export-substituting products using local raw materials, reagents and equipment used in the field of metallurgy will be discussed.

Within the framework of the week, a presentation of the Navoi State Mining and Technology University, which was reorganized on the basis of the Navoi State Mining Institute, will take place.

In the mining and metallurgical industry, 21 applied and innovative projects were financed in the amount of 31.4 billion soums at the expense of the Ministry of Innovative Development. Based on the results of the discussion of scientific projects, industry experts studied the possibilities of introducing innovative technologies developed as a result of projects directly at manufacturing enterprises and gave appropriate conclusions. Based on the results of the discussion of scientific projects, an appropriate protocol was drawn up.

Within the framework of the week, presentations of scientific projects funded by the state order will take place. Experts working in the field of geology, mining and metallurgy gave relevant recommendations to scientists to improve the efficiency of projects.
