Representatives of Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan participated at the session, UzA reported.

The council approved joint measures on competent bodies of the SCO member states on combating recruitment into terrorism and extremism organizations at prisons of the SCO space.

In order to improve work on coordination and interaction of competitive bodies of the SCO member states in fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism, the council approved a regulation on single registrars on events on fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism, normative legal acts, educational materials and special literature in fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism, recording explosives, weapons, ammunitions, and other products, used by terrorism organizations.

They also approved plan of work of exports on border issues, coordination of joint efforts on fighting international terrorism organizations.

In order to strengthen international cooperation in fighting terrorism, the council approved a draft project between the SCO RATS and CIS Anti-Terrorism Center on organization of cooperation in ensuring safety of large international events, organized in the territories of the SCO and CIS.

The council adopted decision on organization of international conference on strengthening of cooperation in information safety.

They also approved a draft report of the SCO RATS to the heads of states of the SCO member states on the activity of the structure for 2012. The SCO RATS chief Zhang Sinfen presented a report on realization of the programme on cooperation of the SCO member states in fighting terrorism, separatism and extremism for 2010-2012, as well as decision of the SCO RATS Council.

The sides positively rated activities of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS for the reporting period.

Some employees of competent bodies and SCO RATS Executive Committee were awarded with certificates for their contribution to development of activities of the SCO RATS and strengthening of cooperation among competent bodies of the member states.

Decisions on organizational, personnel and financial support of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS were also adopted.

The sides reached agreement on holding next session of the Council of the SCO RATS on 20 September 2013 in Russia. A ceremony of inauguration of the newly appointed Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO RATS Zhang Sinfen was also held.

The SCO Secretary General Dmitry Mezentsev, Deputy Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Eldor Aripov, envoys of the SCO member states in Uzbekistan participated at the work of the session.

The meeting of the Council was held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere.
