In January-December 2012, the total volume of utilized investments in fixed capital in national currency was 22.067 trillion soums. The growth rate made up 11.6% year-on-year.

In January-December 2012, some 80,500 buildings or 82,400 apartments with the total space of 10.162 million m2 (+10% compared to January-December 2011), including 7.706 million m2 (+9.3%) of the rural area, were built and put into operation.

Out of the total investments utilized in the non-production sphere some 815 billion soums (11% from total volume) were used construction of healthcare objects, 609.8 billion soums (8.3%) to education objects, 145.8 billion soums (2%) to culture and art objects, 439.2 billion soums – public utilities objects and 963.9 billion soums – other objects.

The country directed 233 billion soums of investments to construction and capital reconstruction of hospitals and out-patient departments and 20.2 billion other healthcare objects, which made up 28.6% and 2.5% from investments to healthcare sector.

About 58 billion soums of investments or 0.8% from total investments to non-production sector and 9.5% of investments to education sector were used to construct and reconstruct buildings of higher education establishments.

About 128.6 billion soums of investments were used for construction and reconstruction of academic lyceums and vocational colleges, which made up 1.7% of investments in the non-production sphere and 21.1% of investments in education sector.

About 247.7 billion soums were used for construction of water-supply networks, of which 119.1 billion soums – foreign funds and loans (48.1% of their total volume), 81.9 billion soums – state budget (33.1%), 32 billion soums – means of enterprises and organizations (12.9%) and 14.7 billion soums – resources of population. Some 10.2 billion soums were used for construction of gas networks, of which 9.8 billion soums (96.1%) were means of population and 0.4 billion soums (3.9%) – resources of enterprises and organizations.

In January-December 2012, construction works were fulfilled to the amount of 11.312 trillion soums, which grew by 11.5% year-on-year.

Out of the total volume of construction works 80.3% falls on new construction, reconstruction, expansion and technical re-equipment of enterprises, 17.8% – on capital and current repair, and 1.9% – on other contract works.
