Tashkent hosts international conference “Healthy generation – future of nation” dedicated to the occasion.

In his message to participants of the conference, President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov congratulated the organization and said that Soglom Avlod Uchun was one of the first nongovernmental fund of Uzbekistan.

He said that it is difficult to assess role of the organization in implementation programme “Healthy mother – healthy child”, which focused on improving maternity and childhood in Uzbekistan.

He said that over 263 billion soums were directed to construction and modernization of hospitals and their equipment in 2012, which shows importance of this direction.

Uzbek President said that Soglom Avlod Uchun provided medical and social assistance for over 3 million people in last 17 years.

Islam Karimov also recalled that Soglom Avlod Uchun order was also established along with the fund and currently 850 Uzbek and foreign citizens received it.

With his decree, Uzbek president awarded several workers of International non-governmental charity fund “Soglom Avlod Uchun”.

In particular, President awarded title “Honoured worker of healthcare of Uzbekistan” to the chairperson of the International non-governmental charity fund “Soglom Avlod Uchun” Svetlana Inamova.

Another fourteen employees received Mehnat Shukhrati and Dustlik orders, as well as Shukhrat medal.
