According to the Association, share of the Uzbek car marker decreased from 9.98% in 2011 to 8.96% in 2012 despite growth of sales by 2.03 times.

The Association said that GM Uzbekistan realized 7,793 units of cars in Kazakhstan in 2012 compared to 3,829 units in 2011.

GM Uzbekistan, according to the Kazakhstan Automobile Business Association, claimed the third place on the volume of sales in Kazakhstan in 2012 after LADA 935,140 cars and market share – 40.41%) and Toyota (8,108 cars and market share – 9.32%). Top three did not change compared to 2011.

According to the Association, Priora (1st place), Samara (2nd place), Nexia (3rd place) and 4x4 (4th place) were bestsellers in Kazakh market in 2012. Matiz held the tenth place among the bestsellers.

Share of Nexia in Kazakh market made up 6.85% in 2012 against 7.9% in 2011. Market share of Matiz grew from 2.08% in 2011 to 2.11% in 2012.

Kazakhstan Automobile Business Association said Nexia is popular in Almaty and Shymkent. In 2012, the car claimed the first place in these two cities.

GM Uzbekistan sold 1,699 Nexia cars in Almaty and 1,437 units in Shymkent in 2012. At the same time, the market share of model in Almaty fell from 11.4% in 2011 to 4.13% in 2012, in Shymkent – from 7% to 3.5%.

Some 339 Nexia automobiles were sold in Astana in 2012 compared to 183 units in 2011. Share of Nexia model in Astana decreased from 2.29% in 2011 to 0.82% in 2012. The company sold 403 cars of Nexia model in Atyrau in 2012 and its share was 0.98% in the city. The model held third place on the volume of sales in the city.

Matiz car claimed the ninth place in Almaty and Atyrua, while was six in Shymkent. GM Uzbekistan sold 607 Matiz cars in Almaty (market share – 1.48%), 111 cars of this model in Atyrau (0.27%) and 247 cars in Shymkent (0.6%).
