Practical guideline for preparing business plan is published to aid entrepreneurs
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A guideline titled "Practical Guideline for Preparing Business Plan" in Uzbek language has been developed for start-ups and experienced entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan.

The guideline was published in the framework of the "Aid for Trade" component of a joint project of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the United Nations Development Programme in Uzbekistan "Promoting Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion in Uzbekistan".

The guideline provides information on the basic types of business entities, stages of the registration, licensing, structure of a business plan, marketing strategy, financing sources, and a brief explanation of the balance sheet. In the annex, the guideline provides tax rates, useful contact information, glossary of terms, and a sample of a model business plan.

In developing the guideline, comments of participants of the seminar on writing a business plan, which was held 10-12 March 2012 in Namangan, were taken into account. Therefore, this manual combined with a training module can also be used as a reference material during trainings of entrepreneurs.

Hard copies of the above-mentioned practical guideline were distributed among businesses, institutions, business support organizations and other interested parties.

"Guideline came out very practical. In particular, the model business plan included as an annex to the guideline, will serve as a reference document in developing business plans" noted Ikromjon Karimov, head of the Namangan regional department of the “Hunarmand” (Craftsman) Association.

Electronic version of the guideline can be downloaded from website of UNDP in Uzbekistan.
