The national hashar has been held within the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan from 4 March 2013.

The hashar was aimed at improving landscape of residential areas and sanitary situation in Uzbekistan.

According to Mahalla Foundation, over 17.5 million people participated at the national charity hashar. They cleaned some 43,600 hectares of territories and 26,000 km of drainage system and ditches, UzA reported.

The participants also planted trees and plants during hashar. Overall, some 25 million decorative and fruit trees and 16.5 million flowers were planted.
