An event dedicated to World Water Day was held at Tashkent plant on 29 March, which was attended by 20 mass media representatives. The plant organized a tour to the plant and various games for children of journalists and employees of Nestle Uzbekistan.

During the tour, the children and adults familiarized with technologies on production of drinking water NESTLE® PURE LIFE®. After the tour, the children participated in various educational games, which explain production process of water, its structure and benefits.

World Water Day was initiated at the UN summit on environment and sustainable development in 1992. The Day is marked annually on 22 March.

Nestle Uzbekistan has been marking World Water Day in Uzbekistan for the third time. Filip Gorbunov, director-general of Nestle Uzbekistan, said that NESTLE WATERS is marking World Water Day in 31 countries, including Uzbekistan. It is great opportunity for the company to tell about importance of water to next generation, he added.

Nestle Uzbekistan is planning to hold similar event at its plant in Namangan on 4 April 2013, which will be attended by children of employees.
