The region increased production of consumer goods by 10.5%, agriculture output – by 6.8%, retail trade turnover – by 17.9%, paid services to population – by 10.4%, and construction works – by 9.1%, UzA reported.

The region carried out works on modernization and re-equipment of industrial enterprises. Some 29 projects were implemented at Navoi Mining and Metallurgy Combine, Navoiazot and Navoi thermal power station and some 680.1 billion soums of capital investments were utilizes.

In the result of reforming leading sectors of economy and diversification of industry, the region exported 37 types of products for US$522.5 million. Total investments to real sector of economy made up 554.3 billion soums.
