Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A malfunction in the main gas pipeline supplying natural gas to the Turakurgan TPP has been eliminated, and gas supply to the station has been restored. This was reported by the press service of JSC Thermal Power Plants.

At 18:33, power unit No. 1 connected to the grid and began transmitting electricity. The station will start operating at full capacity from 19:30.

To restore the lost power, backup power units were introduced at the Tashkent, Novo-Angren, Syrdarya TPPs and Charvak HPPs.
