The event, which was held on 13 March, was attended by deputies, heads of ministries, departments and local khokimiyats.

In line with the legislation of Uzbekistan, Accounts Chamber carried out audit and assessment of execution of the state budget and participated in expertize of tax and budget policy and state budget for 2013.

It was said that the Accounts Chamber paid attention to role of taxes and mandatory payments in fiscal policy of the government as factors for development of economy and growth of income of population. Formation of income part of State Budget, full execution of state budget in territorial and industrial level and reality of forecast figures on main sources of income part of budget were analysed.

Accounts Chamber conducted control measures to inspect legality and effective use of state budget in several ministries, departments, as well as in Bukhara and Khorezm region.

At the session it was noted that heads of local state bodies are not paying attention to searching new sources of increasing local budget’s income, fight untargeted and ineffective use of resources of the state budget, etc.

The participants analyzed reasons for shortages and financial violations, which were revealed by Accounts Chamber. MPs said that heads of ministries and local authorities are showing irresponsibility in addressing the causes of deficiencies and violations identified by the Accounts Chamber.

The session developed recommendations on ensuring effective and rational use of budget resources and adhering to financial discipline.
