Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 July 2022, enterprises of the energy sector of Uzbekistan exceeded the work plan for preparing thermal power plants for the autumn-winter season.

Only according to the schedule of capital and current repairs at TPPs, 54 power units, 31 boiler units, 6 turbogenerators, 8 combined-cycle plants were repaired.

On power transformers with a voltage of 35-110-220-500 kV, 65 current and overhaul repairs were carried out, overhaul and current repairs of 290 switches, separators, instrument transformers, relay protection devices and automation with a voltage of 35-110-220-500 kV were carried out. Repair and adjustment work in this direction continues.

Special attention is paid to the preparation of thermal power plants and heating plants for the autumn-winter season, which is due to the fact that they account for the bulk of electricity generated in our country - about 85%.

In general, the preparation plan envisages 30 repairs, including at 12 power units, 1 turbine unit, 9 boiler units, 7 combined cycle plants, 1 gas turbine unit at the enterprises of the system.

In order to carry out high-quality repair work, along with specialists from power plants, qualified specialists from Uzbekenergotamir JSC and Uzenergosozlash LLC, as well as representatives of foreign companies Power Machines, Kaluga Turbine Plant and Taganrog Boiler Plant (Russia), a consortium Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems (Japan).

In order to determine the technical condition of power equipment, identify and eliminate existing shortcomings in its operation, 151 laboratory tests of metal, 106 complete chemical analyzes, 830 studies aimed at identifying elements were carried out on the spot.

Today, an important issue is the high-quality transmission of generated electricity to high-voltage electrical networks. In this regard, in order to check the technical condition of the equipment of 110-50 kV outdoor switchgear (OSG) at power plants, 72 measures were taken at power transformers, including 259 at current transformers, 129 at voltage transformers, and 129 at circuit breakers. 97, on disconnectors - 345, on high-voltage inputs - 119 and on contact capacitors - 98.

As is known, natural gas is mainly used to generate electricity at thermal power plants. In this regard, work is underway at thermal power plants to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the natural gas supply system equipment in the autumn-winter period. In particular, the installation of additional gas filters in the gas network of the Talimarjan TPP, the repair of gas compression compressors of the combined-cycle plants of the Turakurgan TPP were completed. At the Navoi and Tashkent thermal power plants, work is underway to replace gas meters with modern ones and create a reserve of natural gas filters for combined cycle plants.

In order to improve the skills of specialists responsible for the quality of repair work, Thermal Power Plants JSC sends employees to train at the production enterprises of large energy companies in foreign countries, such as Germany, France, Italy and Russia.
