Lukoil Overseas President pays visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 December 2012, President of Lukoil Overseas Andrei Kuzyayev visited Tashkent and held a meeting with the management of Lukoil Overseas Operating company, which is operator of perspective investment projects of Russian company in Uzbekistan.

The event was dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Lukoil Overseas. It was also dedicated to sum up results of the activities of the company for past period and determine plans for next years. Lukoil Overseas President briefed the participants on achievements and perspectives of large-scale projects of Lukoil in Uzbekistan. It was said that Lukoil Overseas implements 27 upstream projects in 22 countries of the world. Share of Lukoil Overseas fells 10.2% of reserves and 9.4% of production, as well as 14.5% of EBITDA of Lukoil.

At the same time, share of Uzbekistan in foreign projects of Lukoil makes up 6% of proved oil reserves and 76% of proved gas reserves. Kuzyayev said that largest investment activity on current projects in Uzbekistan will fell to 2013-2017.

Speaking about tasks for next three years, Lukoil Overseas President said that Lukoil Uzbekistan faces huge work ahead and hard work of all employees. He said that the company should pay attention to cadre issues, improvement of their skills, and train young specialists.

He said that this is important as in 3-4 years over 3,000 people will work in Lukoil projects in Uzbekistan, and some 95% of them will make up citizens of Uzbekistan. At the same time, 7,000 jobs will be created at construction of production objects.

Speaking about implementation of separate projects, it is planned to sign key contract on construction of Gissar Group of fields and construction of objects on collection, preparation and transportation, including Adamtash booster station. It is also planned complete well drilling at Gissar and launch of the first and second launcher complex at Jarquduq.

Within the implementation of product-sharing agreement on Kandym and Khauzak-Shady, the company will sign contracts on purchase of main equipment and materials on project “Early gas at Kandym”, launch of Khauzak booster station, mining of early gas at Kandym, carry out works on preparation of FEED and construction of Kandym gas processing complex.

Andrei Kuzyayev said that the company should pay attention to mining of hydrocarbons. He said that the company should reach gas production volume to 18 billion cubic meters by 2018.

At the end of the event, Andrei Kuzyayev congratulated a group of Lukoil Uzbekistan employees.
