Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan Plan Dostuk Trade Park
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A joint international trade and economic park named “Dostuk” is planned to be built on the border territory of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan, aiming to become a new platform for the development of regional trade, investment, and logistics.
The concept and master plan of the project were presented to Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov during his working visit to the Batken region. The total area of the future complex will be approximately 100 hectares.
According to the presented data, the park will include administrative, tourism, logistics, industrial, commercial, and recreational zones. The project is expected to create more than 5,000 jobs and become an important driver of economic activity in the border region.
The initiative is focused on strengthening trade and logistics ties among the three countries, attracting investment, and creating new opportunities for business development. Special attention in the concept is given to the development of tourism infrastructure, the organization of international cultural events, ethnic festivals, and exhibitions, as well as the promotion of the historical heritage of the Great Silk Road.
President Sadyr Japarov noted that successful implementation of the initiative is only possible through close cooperation among the three states and expressed confidence that the “Dostuk” park could become a major investment platform and a symbol of trust and unity in Central Asia.
The project is being considered in the context of agreements reached on March 31, 2025, in Khujand, where the presidents of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on the tripoint of state borders in the Ferghana Valley, connecting the Sughd, Ferghana, and Batken regions.
