Industrial production grew by 11.4%, consumer goods production 12.5%, agriculture goods – 8.5%, capital invetsments – 6.3%, construction works – 11.8%, retail trade turnover – 9.2%, all services – 16.8%, UzA reported.

The region created over 100 industrial enterprises on production of non-food and food products and modernized 17 enterprises, which allowed to create 4,100 jobs.

Share of small businesses in gross regional product made up 73.8% in 2012. The region created 731 small and private businesses. Small and private businesses received loans for 212.3 billion soums from commercial banks.

It was said that 113 km part of A-380 road was repaid in 2012 and some 100.5 billion soums were directed to this project. Some 15 billion soums were directed to reconstruction of Urgench Railway Station.
