Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) —  From 29 November to 1 December, the National Cinema Palace "Panorama" invites you to the IX European Film Festival, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Uzbekistan with the support of the Cinema Agency.

This festival, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of EU-Uzbekistan cooperation, promises to be a vibrant event of cultural exchange and a symbol of friendship between the two countries.

The festival program features a diverse range of films, from deep and touching dramas to sparkling comedies. Special attention is given to documentary films, which will be shown daily at 14:00. Audiences can expect stories about the impact of technology, the consequences of wars, and people overcoming life's challenges.

On 29 November:

11:00 – "Mermaids Don't Cry" (Austria) – A modern fairytale about self-discovery.

14:00 – "Imad's Childhood" (Sweden, Iraq, Latvia) – A documentary about a boy who survived the war.

19:00 – "The Naked Truth About the 'Zhiguli' Band" (Bulgaria) – A heartwarming comedy about second chances.

On 30 November:

11:00 – "Luxembourg, Luxembourg" (Ukraine) – A story about brothers and their complicated relationship.

14:00 – "Lola" (Ireland) – A documentary about two sisters who invented a device to intercept radio signals from the future.

19:00 – "A Man Without Guilt" (Slovenia) – A drama about forgiveness and redemption.

On 1 December:

11:00 – "The First Snow" (Finland) – A story of a refugee family fighting for asylum.

14:00 – "Trained to See: Three Women and the War" (Germany) – A documentary about female war correspondents during World War II.

19:00 – "Dangerous Gentlemen" (Poland) – A witty crime comedy.

All films will be shown in their original language with subtitles, allowing the audience to fully immerse themselves in the films' atmosphere and experience the unique character of each national culture.
